Rescue Image is a function to help damaged instances such as filesystem corrupted or unable to access the instance. Note that you can only rescue an image, that is in the rescue state. Now access the instance by using the same SSH key when first creating the instance. Once you have made the necessary changes, you can unrescue to boot the instance back as before. In order to do that, you can rescue the image by: Go to Instances menu, Select the instance to rescue, Locate the rescue button in the power tab, and Click to start rescue-image mode.
